Summer Fudge Popsicles

This recipe is a real-food version of the classic fudgsicles you used to eat as a kid. They are a creamy delight made with avocado and without refined sugar and do not disappoint. We make these to have on hand for the perfect summer afternoon snack for both you and your little one. Just be ready to embrace the mess!

Summer Fudge Popsicles

These popsicles taste like classic Fudgesicles but are made with avocado and yogurt and sweetened with date syrup and cacao powder making them a great nutrient packed alternative to store bought fudgesicles! They are a hit at our homes each time we make them and taste just like the real deal. Pop them in any popsicle mold you like and you can shop our favorite popsicle molds here!

Summer Fudge Popsicles

Ingredients

  • 1 medium avocado (ripe and soft – this is key)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk or dairy-free yogurt (plain regular or Greek yogurt work great)
  • 3 tablespoons date syrup
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon smooth almond butter (this will make it creamier, but can easily be left out)

Notes

Kid Tip:
Let your child dump the ingredients into the blender and push the button to blend.

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients and blend together. Start the blender on low, scraping the sides as needed and increasing the blender speed as it mixes together until you have a smooth, pudding-like texture.
  • Pour them in a popsicle mold.
  • Place in freezer and freeze overnight (or a minimum of 4 hours).
  • Serve!
