Cook Time:5 minutes

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 pieces of bread
  • ~2 tablespoons nut butter of choice (can also use sunflower or granola butter for nut-free option)
  • 1/2 sliced banana
  • Seed blend for sprinkling (1 part each flaxseed meal, chia seeds, hemp seeds)

Notes

Kid tip: For toddlers or young kids, serve the seed blend in a condiment cup so they can sprinkle it themselves. This usually gives them more autonomy at meals and leads to better eating.

  • Babies For babies on solids, serve a thin layer of nut butter on a slightly toasted strip of bread and serve the banana on the side.
  • Sandwich Roll-up You can also serve these as a sandwich roll-up. To do this, roll out the piece of bread with a rolling pin, add the butter, seeds, and 1/2 of a whole banana. Roll in up and slice into small pieces (like sushi) to serve.

Instructions

  • Add a thin slice of nut butter or butter of choice onto the bread.
  • Add sliced banana.
  • Sprinkle with seed blend for added nutrition.
