Oven Roasted Frozen Broccoli: The Easiest Vegetable Side Dish

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound frozen broccoli florets we use organic Woodstock farms
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste or 1/2 tablespoon all purpose seasoning

Notes

Kid Tip: Let your kids dump in all the ingredients and mix as age appropriate.
For babies on solids but less than 12 months, omit the salt. 

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or Silpat. Spread the frozen florets out over the baking sheet (straight from freezer, they don't need to be thawed).
  • Drizzle olive oil over the florets and then sprinkle with seasoning. Toss to coat the florets and evenly distribute on baking sheet.
  • Roast in the over for 20 minutes. Then take the baking sheet out and use a spatula (or appropriate kitchen tool) to stir the broccoli. Return the baking sheet to the oven and roast for another 10 minutes, or until the broccoli is cooked as desired.
  • Serve (best served warm)
