Avocado Date Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 3-5 handfuls spinach
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 small handful dates
  • 1 small handful blueberries (adding this source of vitamin C helps our bodies absorb the iron from the spinach while adding flavor)
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (we estimate this)
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds (we estimate this)

Optional:

  • Add a small handful of ice
  • 1 tbsp almond butter (for added protein & healthy fat)
  • 1 scoop @seedlyfe pregnancy or postpartum blend (for parents' smoothie)
  • 1-2 tbsp cacao powder to add chocolate flavor
  • 1 Brazil nut

Notes

Kid Tip:
Let your child dump the ingredients into the blender and then push the button to blend. You can also have your kids slice the avocado with our favorite kids knife.
For kids 1+, add whole fat milk, whole fat yogurt, or a higher protein and fat plant based milk such as pea protein milk to maximize the protein and fat content.

  • Add all ingredients into the blender and blend until desired consistency!
