This is our favorite snack recipe for kids one year and over — we’ve just added a pumpkin twist perfect for the holidays! Not only are these bites nutritious and super easy to make, they also make a great postpartum or on-the-go snack for you and the kids.
Easiest Pumpkin Oat Bites
Introducing our popular “Easiest Oat Bites” now with pumpkin for the perfect Halloween and holiday twist.
1 1/2-2cupsrolled oats (gluten-free oats work just as well)
3tablespoons ground flax meal
3tablespoonschia seeds
1/2teaspoonpumpkin spice or cinnamon
1/2 cupnut butter of your choice (or sunflower butter for a nut-free option)
1/2cuppureed pumpkin
1/4cuphoney or date syrup
1 teaspoonvanilla extract
Optional:
1/4cupdark chocolate chips (mini size works best)
Notes
Kid Tip:Let your child dump the ingredients into the bowl, help stir, and roll the bites into balls.Reminder, honey isn’t safe for kids under 1 y/o, so this recipe is for 1+.We love these oats because they are glyphosate free.
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a large bowl and then mix well to combine. The mixture will be very thick and sticky.
Scoop mixture and then roll each between your palms until they are uniform in size.
